ELDERDECKS MULTIPLAYER

Play Commander online

Your deck. Your pod. One shared table.

Play Magic: The Gathering Commander with up to four players in your browser. Bring a saved ElderDecks deck, invite friends to a private lobby, or find a public table. Everyone controls their own cards, with shared battlefields and a game activity log to keep the table in sync.

An account and a saved deck are needed to join a game. No separate desktop app is required.

From deck list to game night

  1. 01

    Bring your deck

Build a deck in ElderDecks, or import a deck list. The importer accepts text lists and supported Moxfield or Archidekt URLs. Review the preview, choose your commanders, and save before joining a table.

  2. 02

    Find your pod

Create a private lobby and share the invite, or browse public lobbies. Set a Commander bracket when hosting so players can discuss the kind of game they want before starting.

  3. 03

    Play together

Choose your saved deck in the lobby. At the table, draw from your library, move and tap cards, track life and counters, and pass the turn when you are ready.

A Commander table built around your cards

See the whole pod

Table View keeps the four battlefields together. Focus View gives a battlefield more room. Adjust how large opponents' cards appear without changing their own view.

Keep your zones together

Your hand, commander, library, graveyard, and exile stay close to the battlefield. Manage mana and counters, inspect cards, and follow recent actions in the game log.

Make the table yours

Choose a playmat, adjust card sizes, and arrange your battlefield. Tokens, card counters, power and toughness, and planeswalker loyalty help represent the board you are playing.

A shared tabletop, not an automatic rules engine

Online multiplayer is player-controlled. You and your opponents make your own decisions about spells, abilities, attacks, blocks, and rules interactions. ElderDecks provides the table and synchronized game state; it does not automatically enforce every Magic rule or resolve every card effect.

Discuss triggers and unusual interactions with your pod, just as you would around a physical table. This is separate from the optional simulated opponents in the solo playtester.

Before you join

Do I need a webcam or physical cards?

No. Multiplayer uses digital card images from your saved deck. It is not a webcam-based tabletop.

Can I play with just my friends?

Yes. Create a private lobby and send friends the invite link or room code. Private lobbies do not appear in the public directory.

Can I test a Commander deck on my own?

Yes. Open a saved deck and launch its playtester for solo testing. You can choose Solo Playtest or optional simulated opponents. You still control your own cards.

Can I use decks built on another site?

Import and save the deck in ElderDecks first. URL imports depend on the source site being accessible; a pasted exported deck list is available when a source blocks the request.
